Paris Flea Market Insider’s tour
Tour runs Saturday, Sunday and Monday at 10.45 am.
By reservation only, €24 per person, (€15 under 13 years old).
With its more than 2,500 ‘shops,’ the world’s largest Flea-Market is a unique Paris treasure – an exhilarating, sometimes daunting, adventure land.
Our insider’s tour through the vibrant Paris Flea-Market of Saint-Ouen will show you ‘who is there’, ‘how does it all work’, and ‘where do I find that
uniquely me object’, including:
- Discover Walks’ ‘quality versus crap’ lesson.
- Learning flea-market negotiating, Paris-style.
- Flea-Market culture – Prince Malik, The Slumdog Duke, and Madonna.
- And talks with a couple of shop owners about working as an art dealer.
We will run into everything from pirate’s pearls to haute couture dresses, antique weapons, Paris memorabilia, to who knows what. Our 90-minute introduction gives you a better sense for this city-within-a-city, and leaves you ready to raid the market. The market is open Saturday through Monday.
Your City Guide is a native Parisian who knows what it’s like to live in Paris – and can give you tips on where locals shop and eat. It’s like having a new friend in Paris.
Insider’s tour is offered at 11am on market days i.e. Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Requires a metro or bus ride to Saint-Ouen/Clignancourt in northern Paris.
Small groups, by reservation only, €24/person (€15 under 13 years old). We accept late reservations, but advise booking at least 48 hours in advance (by e-mail) or 24 hours in advance by phone.
